Wow, what a great evening we all had at the ART Annual Meeting. People arrived early and left late. We loved every minute of it.
We got to see new faces and some we got to see some faces that is from ART's past. Long time baord members atteneded as well as long time ART volunteers came to visit and check on ART after ten years. ART had the TransCarolina Club attend with twenty of thier members attending, and the local Transgender Greensboro Assocation had members attending as well as represenatives from "HRC" attended, The Triad Business Professional Guild had several Board members attending, Travis Olde from BoysVibe.com, Tim Rice the photographer that is doing all photographery for ART's Guys of the Triad Calendar 2007 & 2008 calendar projects as well as the Calendar Models stopped by to say Hi to us, then there was several GLBTQA and Allies that attended. We had a very diverse group of people that came out in support of ART. We thank each and everyone of you that could attend. With over fifty guest attending I know I have accidentaly left out mentioning someone please forgive me.
ART wishes to send a special 'Thank You" to DJ Kimo form the Warehouse 29 for creating the Slide Show Video for ART that was playing during the Annual Meeting. The Slide Show featured what ART has accomplished and what ART has been doing in the past year of 2006 until now. Also a big thank you goes out to Eric Hinson, President of Alternative Resources fo the Triad for caterering this years Annual Meeting. The Mashed Potato Martini was a great idea and everyone loved it. The Mashed Potato Martini Bar is still getting raves from all the people that attended. A special thank you goes out to Liz Bab, ARTs Secretary for selling the Raffle Tickets to the guest during the Annual Meeting (people loved the one tick for one dollar or for five dollars you can have tickets that is tall as you are). Steven Wicker a really big thank you goes to for creating our new logos for each section of OutGreensboro.com, and last we thank the Biltmore Greensboro Hotel for donating the location for ART to hold our annual meeting this year.
There was plenty of Raffle Prizes to be giving away. Ten Gift Certificates for an Overnight stay at The Biltmore Greensboro Hotel, four Gift Certificates to Wet N` Wild Water Parka, sixteen Gif Gerificates for Prive Salon, twelve gift bags of candels, a decorated lamp and much more.
We count each and everyone of you as part of our family. With a great big kiss to you all for the past nineteen years, and many more to come. Please join Alternative Resources of the Triad for our special 20th year Anniversary on March 1st, 2008. Mark your calendars for next year!
